This resource can be used in conjunction with the ‘wall planner’. It takes each skill and goes into more detail on each stage of the process of each activity, so your students can show they are able to demonstrate each skill. Progress can be made from conducting an activity with support and guidance from a career coach or staff member, through to being able to demonstrate the skill completely independently. Each skill is categorised into one of several “job families”. They are:
Looking after animals, Office, Cleaning, Household Tasks, Gardening, Waste Management, Personal Care, Food & Catering, Personal Grooming, and Practical Support Tasks.
This will help your students to understand what skills are related to different careers and identify the activities they can develop to improve their employability skills.
