What is CICO Profile?
By telling us how strongly you agree (or disagree!) with a range of statements, we can identify what aspects of a career will motivate you in your career. And importantly, what will not motivate you in your career. We call these Core Interests.
You will end up with a completely individual profile, showing what Core Interests are important to you. This will then help you to make career decisions in the future – including GCSE options, post-16 options, and ultimately job applications.
Remember – there are no right or wrong answers here, this is all about helping you identify your Core Interests to make you happy in your career. It is important to note, that the CICO Profile will also show you what DOES NOT motivate you. You can learn a lot from what you don’t like, just as much as learning from what you do like!
How It Works
1. Create an Account
We’ll ask you for a few basic questions to set up your account
2. Complete your CICO
Profile You will be shown some statements, and asked to say how strongly you agree or disagree with them. You can do this in your own time, but the best results are when you answer instinctively, so don’t think about it for too long!
3. See what motivates you
You will be given a simple report showing the Core Interests which are more important to you, and how you can use this to inform future career decisions
